3 Latest Hall of Fame Toys

The National Toy Hall of Fame located at the Strong National Museum of Play in Rochester, New York has just announced its new inductees.  See the nostalgic playthings, like transformers,  that made it to the winner's circle, plus the finalists that didn't make the cut (yet!).

On behalf of the historic Avalon Theater in Chevy Chase, we wanted to share that the upcoming Senior Cinema film will play on November 21.

Senior Cinema Thursday is a monthly event where the Avalon Theater screens one of its current features at a special discounted price for seniors, held every third Thursday at 10:30am.

In November, they will be playing "Conclave." Tickets can be purchased here for $6. "Cardinal Lawrence (Ralph Fiennes) leads the conclave to select the new Pope after the death of the current one. The conclave is a secretive event that takes place in the Vatican, where 118 Cardinals from around the world gather to vote. Lawrence discovers a conspiracy and secrets that could threaten the Catholic Church."

Each session focuses on a different Reading Tutor Training topic, and lasts about an hour. Pre-registration online is required.

Please note: these sessions provide broad tips and are not intended to be certification level training.
