Part 3: Bad Romance
Text: 1 Corinthians 6:15-20

Lust is one of the enemy’s oldest and most effective plays. It takes a good, God-given desire and twists it into something disordered and destructive. Lust reduces people made in God’s image into objects for our pleasure. And the battle begins long before an outward act—in what we see, imagine, remember, and linger over. Jesus calls us not to flirt with lust, but to flee from it. This week, we’ll talk about how to recognize its vulnerabilities and walk in freedom.

This month we will be collecting supplies for Faith Responders, a ministry partner of the Global Methodist Church that focuses on disaster response. Let's load our trailer with all the equipment needed to help support our local team. Suggested items are located at the One Thing Project table for you to purchase and/or donate towards. Grab the tag of the item you want to purchase and bring that item back no later than Aug 30th. Our Women's Bible Study group meets Wednesdays at 6:30PM upstairs in the Youth Room.

Men, this Fall, Fight Club is digging into a modern, Christian classic on being a Christian man--John Edredge's Wild at Heart.  God designed men to be powerful, but somewhere between boyhood and the expectations of adulthood, we lost heart. Passion and dreams get buried by deadlines and disappointment. This study will help you uncover a biblical picture of who God created you to be as a man and rediscover your passion to fight for those you love and this world.

It's not too late to sign up HERE and join us upstairs in Room 10 Wednesdays at 6:30pm.

Church family, you are invited to a baby shower for Gabe and Emmi to celebrate the upcoming arrival of their baby boy, Michael "Judah" Davidson! 
The shower will be held in the Worship Center at Gray Methodist on Sunday, 
August 23rd from 2PM-4PM.

Our Men's Ministry will be selling tickets for a delicious Boston Butt for only $40 each all month long! Also, they will have homemade Brunswick Stew for $5/pint.

8AM and 12Noon in the parking lot at Gray Methodist.

Our Senior Adults will be going to Steve's Steaks and Seafood in Macon for lunch on August 27th. Church bus will leave from Gray at 11AM.

Narrow Gate is offering a Fundamentals of Disciple-Making class which will begin on Sept 17th. This is a 6-week free online teaching that is part of our overall strategy to help individuals become responsible, resilient, reproducing disciples of Jesus.
