Text Acts 5:12-42


The mission of Jesus keeps moving, and the resistance keeps rising.  The apostles are arrested and beaten, but they refuse to stop speaking in the name of Jesus.  But their courage does not come from trying harder; it comes from the Holy Spirit working through surrendered lives. Trying really hard to be a good Christian is exhausting.  What if that was never the way?  This Sunday, we will ask what might change if we stopped trying hard to live the Christian life and began asking the Spirit to live it through us. 


It's that time of year again when we get to bless our teachers with things they need for their students and classrooms! A list of suggested supplies can be found on the One Thing Project table. Please drop your donations off at the church office or at the table in the Worship Center no later than July 26th!

Join us on Sunday August 2nd at 6PM for a Night of Worship at Gray Methodist. This will be a time of worship and prayer as we center our focus on Jesus and pray for our students and teachers as they begin a new school year.

This conference will be held at the Macon Coliseum on Friday, July 31, and Saturday, August 1. I know this will be a busy time for parents and teachers since Open House will be that Friday evening. I hope you will consider attending at least the Saturday portion of the event because you will certainly be blessed by the speakers and worship!

Wet Ministries will provide you with a time of respite with your spouse or soon to be spouse. This retreat will include a time of worship and a time of study of the foundation of biblical marriage and family.
