This Sunday at Gray Methodist:

The 4:19 Initiative
Part 2: Trust
Text: 1 Chronicles 28:20

What does it look like to trust God when you can’t see how everything is going to work out? This Sunday, we continue The 4:19 Initiative with David’s words to Solomon: “Be strong and courageous, and do the work.” Trust doesn’t mean having all the answers—it means moving forward because we know Who is with us. God’s faithfulness in the past gives us confidence to obey Him in the present, even when questions remain. Join us Sunday as we wrestle with one important question: Where are you demanding certainty when God is asking you for trust?

This Sunday at Clinton Methodist:

Gather at the Table
Part 2: Who Gets a Seat?
Text: Luke 5:27-32; Luke 19:1-10

This Sunday we continue our series Gathered at the Table by looking at two meals in Luke's Gospel: Levi's party in Luke 5 and Zacchaeus up in the sycamore tree in Luke 19. Jesus never asks who deserves a seat at his Table. He asks who is missing, and then he goes looking for them. In both stories, the welcome comes first, and the welcome is what changes lives. We'll think together about what it looks like for our church to keep an open seat for the stranger, for the child, and for the person we find hardest to welcome.

Opportunities to Serve

Our Kids Ministry is growing, and we want to make sure every child who comes through our doors is welcomed, loved, and able to fully participate in the life of our church. As we continue welcoming children with autism, learning disabilities, and other unique needs, we have two important opportunities to serve.

First, we are looking for someone with professional training or experience working with children with special needs who can partner with Kristin, our Kids Ministry Director. This person would help us evaluate and improve our learning environments, develop best practices, and equip and train our Kids Ministry team to serve these children well.

Second, we are building a team of buddies—caring adults and students who can come alongside individual children when they need a little extra support. A buddy helps a child participate alongside everyone else: learning about Jesus, joining activities, building friendships, and knowing that they belong.

You don't have to be an expert to be a buddy. You simply need a heart for kids, a willingness to learn, and a desire to help every child experience the love of Jesus and the life of His church.

If either of these opportunities sounds like a way God may be calling you to serve, contact Kristin at children@graymethodist.org

Church family our Nativity Team needs your helping hands and tools! We will be repairing THE WALL that was badly damaged last year as well as sorting, organizing, and moving items into a temporary storage container**.

Join us Saturday, October 17th from 9AM -1PM. Bring your hammer, drills, power cords and jig saws. If anyone has a truck and trailer, that would be helpful as well!

**You will notice a Conex container parked by the nativity shed that will be used as temporary storage.

The Great Grayberry Pumpkin Hunt (formerly The Not-So-Scary Grayberry Spectacular) will take place at First Baptist in Gray on October 24th from 4:30pm-6:30pm. Everything at the pumpkin hunt will be free and open to the community!

Some new things to be on the lookout for will be free food, new games, a hayride, cake walk and of course a pumpkin hunt!
Gray Methodist will be doing the cake walk and face painting! If you'd like to help with either of those stations, click the link below. There is also a link below to sign up to decorate your trunk and hand out candy during the event.
