Our Kids Ministry is growing, and we want to make sure every child who comes through our doors is welcomed, loved, and able to fully participate in the life of our church. As we continue welcoming children with autism, learning disabilities, and other unique needs, we have two important opportunities to serve.
First, we are looking for someone with professional training or experience working with children with special needs who can partner with Kristin, our Kids Ministry Director. This person would help us evaluate and improve our learning environments, develop best practices, and equip and train our Kids Ministry team to serve these children well.
Second, we are building a team of buddies—caring adults and students who can come alongside individual children when they need a little extra support. A buddy helps a child participate alongside everyone else: learning about Jesus, joining activities, building friendships, and knowing that they belong.
You don't have to be an expert to be a buddy. You simply need a heart for kids, a willingness to learn, and a desire to help every child experience the love of Jesus and the life of His church.
