Couples invited to register for 'Living Your Strengths'

Saturdays, March 14 & 21 | 8 a.m.-12 p.m. | Lower Fellowship Hall
Explore your God-given talents and the talents your spouse, friend or relative bring to your relationship. Sue Oschner will be offering "Living Your Strengths in a Relationship" on two consecutive Saturdays starting March 14, 8 a.m.–noon, in Lower Fellowship Hall. Please make sure you are able to attend both sessions. You will take the CliftonStrenths online assessment to learn your top five strengths. Completion of the assessment is required prior to the first class.

Spring Plant Sale for Easter Sunday
|
Orders due: Wednesday, April 1
Help decorate the sanctuary for Easter by purchasing and donating a beautiful spring plant. The costs are $25 for hydrangeas, $20 for an azaleas, oriental lilies, and orchids, and $10 for lilies, mums, begonias, kalanchoes, and cyclamens. Stop by the Easter Plant Ministry Booth in the Narthex this Sunday, or pick up an order form at the church office during the week. Orders are due by April 1.

The Art of Hearing Heartbeats by Jan-Philipp Sendker in March. This group reads a variety of books which are selected several months in advance by those who attend. Haven't read the book? Come anyway and enjoy the discussion and fellowship of other St. Mark's readers.

RightNow Media is like Netflix but for Bible studies—a streaming library of Bible study videos that inspires faith every day of the week. It has Bible-based content for all ages and can be used to deepen faith and create connection. If you're interested in learning more about this exciting potential resource, please join us for a general information session in Lower Fellowship Hall from 7-8 p.m. on March 18. All are welcome to join and learn!

St. Mark's United Methodist Women invite all women to the upcoming unit luncheon on Thursday, March 19, at 12:30 p.m. in Upper Fellowship Hall. It will be a salad luncheon at no charge hosted and served by the Faithful Friends and Hope groups.
I’ve Got A Name Street Outreach Director, Megan Johnson, will be sharing her story to provide hope and change to victims and those who are vulnerable to sex trafficking.

Sunrise Kiwanis Soup Supper and Silent Auction benefits kids programs

Sunrise Kiwanis will be serving homemade chili, chicken noodle soup, veggies and a wide variety of delicious desserts at this benefit for Chapter 25 (Kids Against Hunger), TeamMates, the Food Bank BackPack Program, and other children's programs. Daniel Christian Band concert to be March 19 at St. Mark's

For more than a decade, singer-songwriter Daniel Christian has entertained audiences across the country, including Nashville's Bluebird Café, the SXSW festival in Austin, and a coast-to-coast tour of the United States. He has opened for Selah, Natalie Grant, and The Afters, and has released eight albums, including a project with South Carolina label, Tremulant Records. Christian's album of faith-based songs (SPEAK) includes musicians who play with Amy Grant and Steven Curtis Chapman, as well as featuring members of Caedmon's Call, and Jars of Clay. His song, "Dandelion," was selected from thousands of entries as a Top Ten "Inspirational" finalist in the 14th Annual Great American Song Contest.
This special full band concert weaves scripture and personal testimony with Daniel's award-winning original songs. A freewill offering will benefit Chapter 25 (formerly Kids Against Hunger) and Clinic with a Heart.

St. Mark's Food Pantry needs
|
The St. Mark's Food Pantry provides food to anyone in our community who is hungry, along with a few other basic needs. Non-perishable food and other items can be brought anytime and placed in the shopping carts located throughout the church. These items are especially needed this week:
- complete pancake mix
- brownie mix / cake mix / frosting
- mayonnaise / Miracle Whip
- Manwich sauce
- oatmeal (40 oz)
- liquid laundry detergent
Please hold off on donating cereal as there is currently an ample supply.

Donate items to Spring Garage Sale
|
Saturday, March 28 | 9 a.m.-12 p.m. | Bus Barn
The youth will have an garage sale this spring on May 7-9 and are hoping for donations of furniture, household items, clothes, toys and sporting goods. All proceeds will go to support St. Mark's Youth Ministry. We strongly recommend people to drop off items at the bus barns from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. on Saturday, March 28. Please do not drop off old TVs, Christmas trees, paints/liquids, and recyclable items (like glass).
