A Week of Discernment
Room Enough — Stewarding the Gift of Our Lives
In Sunday's Gospel, Jesus asks a simple question about a coin: "Whose image is this?"
The answer is Caesar's. Jesus responds, "Give to Caesar what belongs to Caesar, and to God what belongs to God."
But what belongs to God?
We do!
Scripture tells us that we are created in God's image—Imago Dei. Every one of us bears that image, not because of what we accomplish or contribute, but simply because we are God's beloved.
This is the foundation of Christian stewardship. Our time, talents, resources, and relationships are gifts entrusted to us. How we use them matters.
As Episcopalians, we begin with worship. Each Sunday we gather to hear God's Word, receive forgiveness, be nourished at Christ's table, and begin again. Then we are sent into the world to love and serve.
Worship grounds us. Study helps us grow. Prayer helps us listen. Service puts our faith into action.
Paul describes the Thessalonians by their "work of faith, labor of love, and steadfastness of hope." What a wonderful description of the kind of community we are called to be!
A Week of Discernment
This week, I invite you to use the seven-day time log in your bulletin. Notice how you spend your time and prayerfully consider:
What am I doing with my time?
What is the fruit of it? Does it bring joy, deepen relationships, nurture faith, or serve others?
What might God be inviting me to begin, change, or release?
This isn't about becoming busier. Rest, recreation, and time with loved ones are also faithful ways of stewarding our lives.
There's Room Enough for You!
Perhaps God is inviting you to explore one of our ministries: Sewing on Saturdays, helping with the garage sale or Food Basket, preparing a meal for the Port Ministry, or calling or visiting someone who is homebound or living in a nursing home.
Curious about your spiritual gifts? Take the spiritual gifts quiz included with our stewardship materials. I'd love to visit with you about what you discover and where your gifts and joy might meet the needs of others.
To schedule a conversation, text me at 832-922-7022.
Remember, God isn't asking you to do everything. God is inviting you to discern how to live faithfully with the gifts you have in this season of life.
We gather in worship to receive God's love. We go into the world to reflect it.
Whose image do you bear? And how will you reflect God's love this week?
In Hope,
Pastor Robin+

Ellen Adriance
1. What is your occupation and how would your gifts and experiences contribute to the functioning of the vestry? Retired analyst/project management/educator instructional design: organizational skills and educational systems planning, project implementation.
2. Our parish’s mission is “Empowered by the Holy Spirit, we experience God's love and share it.” What does this statement mean to you personally? This allows for each person to bring their gifts as motivated through their heart and experience, providing variety in offering gifts and sincerity in how we express and share God’s love.
3. What would you consider to be the top priority for St. Timothy’s in this season of our parish’s common life? My involvement at St. Timothy’s has not been deep or varied enough to offer insight or direction, however my skills and willingness for service will support the choices of the vestry.

1. What is your occupation and how would your gifts and experiences contribute to the functioning of the vestry? As a retired coach/teacher, my gifts of a common sense approach, organization, team leading and management skills contribute to the efficient functioning of a vestry. My gifts of patience, thoroughness and attention to detail benefit a vestry.
2. Our parish’s mission is “Empowered by the Holy Spirit, we experience God's love and share it.” What does this statement mean to you personally? Inviting and welcoming individuals and families to St. Timothy's means many things. In the past, when tradespeople have come to our parish for work and they indicate they are looking for a church, I invite them. When people are new to our church services, I welcome them just as I welcome our long-time members. Inviting and welcoming is an ongoing process of positive attitude and hospitality.
3. What would you consider to be the top priority for St. Timothy’s in this season of our parish’s common life? In my mind the ongoing maintenance and the continued fiscal responsibility to use funds to promote our parish, ministries, and mission is the top priority for St. Timothy's.

1. What is your occupation and how would your gifts and experiences contribute to the functioning of the vestry? As a real estate agent/Broker, I’ve had the pleasure to assist and provide direction to many individuals, families and businesses to navigate purchasing and/or selling properties. To do that well, it’s helpful to have a servant’s heart and to be aware of and inform them of all pertinent information needed to make a good decision. That often meant researching relevant information at City Halls and County entities, from inspectors, insurers and always continuing education. As a business owner, marketing skills were a necessary priority.
Along the way, I have served on numerous boards and commissions and served three+ terms as an elected Angleton City Councilperson. Responsibilities included budget decisions and strategic planning. I’m currently serving on the board of directors of the Angleton Area Emergency Medical Corps, a non-profit EMS serving the greater Angleton area.
2. Our parish’s mission is “Empowered by the Holy Spirit, we experience God's love and share it.” What does this statement mean to you personally? Our parish’s mission to share God’s love means the Holy Spirit is among us and as we experience God’s love we are led to love others and share our time and selves prayerfully with each other. God’s love overflows into relationships in our families, with friends and our community and is expressed through service, sharing, caring and sometimes just being there.
3. What would you consider to be the top priority for St. Timothy’s in this season of our parish’s common life? A top priority for St Timothy’s is to welcome new families so they can know and feel God’s love with us.

Tabatha's Guild (Sewing)
We have a new project! For the Blessing Bags, (see the article above,) we need about 20 simple backpacks. We already have eleven, so if we get just a small group together, we could whip them out in a matter of a couple of hours. We have plenty of supplies.
As usual, the sewing room will be open on Saturday from 2-4PM. We will also be available for anyone who has a project or wants to learn using our supplies.

Altar Flowers
In 2026, our set of 2 Altar floral arrangements will be present at regular St. Timothy’s Sunday services only on the occasions when parishioners provide flowers for special thanksgivings or remembrances. Floral arrangements may be given in memory, thanksgiving or celebration of whomever and/or for whatever the person/family donating flowers chooses for that selected Sunday. A pamphlet by the Flower Chart in the Narthex outlining this process is available. Please do note on our wall-mounted flower chart the Sunday(s) you wish to provide flowers and sign on that date. We have 2 local floral shops—Carriage Flowers and LJ Flower Co.—we use. By the Monday or Tuesday of the week before your selected Sunday contact your choice of shop to arrange for and pay the flower shop directly for your 2 arrangements order. You will no longer provide a check to St. Timothy’s for flowers. Kim Lehnhoff will coordinate flowers and is available to help with any step in the process of arranging for your flowers. Contact Kim at (979) 299-9777 or email kim60lehn@gmail.com with questions or for help.
