HAPPENING THIS WEEK
Shabbat Greeters Needed - Can You Help?
The Jewish Center is committed to providing a warm, welcoming and safe Shabbat experience for our congregants and guests.  Please sign up to be a Shabbat greeter.  Responsibilities include welcoming people to services while monitoring who is entering the building.  There are 2 shifts each Shabbat from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. and then from 10:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.  We need 2 people per shift, one for the main entrance, and the other for the parking lot entrance.

Thank you for volunteering.  If you have any questions please contact Beatrice Bloom at (609) 577-2989.

ADULT PROGRAMS

Sat. Feb. 9 * 8:45am - Adult Library
Bible BaBoker
Join us every Shabbat for a discussion of the weekly Torah portion. Through lively exploration of the Torah's many wonderful (and often challenging) stories and themes, we look to understand how we may apply its life lessons to ourselves in the present.
New participants are always welcome regardless of any prior background.

To be added to the BBB mailing list or for questions, contact Michael Goldin [email protected]

Sat. Feb. 9 * 10am - Adult Library
Havurah Minyan

Do You Remember Your Bar or Bat Mitzvah
Date???

A brand-new initiative from the Religious Affairs Committee! We would like to help you commemorate your bar/bat mitzvah anniversary on the
bimah - no matter how recently or how long ago the original date was.

You could...
    • Have an Aliyah
    • Chant part or all of your Haftarah (if there is no current bar/bat mitzvah that day)
    • Read Torah again!
Feeling rusty? We'll get you back up to speed!

If you're interested, for yourself or for your kids, please contact Cantor Jeff Warschauer ([email protected]) or Mindy Langer ([email protected]) and we'll help make it happen.
It's never too late!
SOCIAL ACTION

      Casseroles for TASK

Please support the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen

By preparing a vegetarian/fish/dairy casserole
And dropping it off at TJC

Your contribution of a casserole will make
a difference in someone's life.
  • Follow one of the recipes listed below, check the website for additional recipes (www.thejewishcenter.org/Participate-With-Us/Social-Action)or use your own recipe.
  • Aluminum tins and pre-printed labels are available in the TJC office or use your own disposable tin.
  • After you bake your casserole, BE SURE TO COVER WITH SEVERAL LAYERS OF ALUMINUM FOIL. Freeze.  Then put the casserole in a plastic bag and bring to TJC's dairy freezer (kitchen on the left).
  • To make sorting easier for our deliverer, print a label (www.thejewishcenter.org/Participate-With-Us/Social-Action), mark the checkoff box for "Tuna," "Bean/Lentil," Pasta/Cheese" or "Other" and tape to your casserole.
