Thank you, Buckeyes for the joy and school spirit you brought to Homecoming. We hope to see you and that incredible energy tonight at our Girls Basketball Pack the House. Our 8th graders had their Confirmation Promises Mass, Candidate & Sponsor Night, and Graduation pictures this week. With every passing day and event, we become more proud of our extraordinary staff and students. These events are a reminder that St. Barnabas is our home away from home and will forever be a part of the fabric of our lives. October is both Breast Cancer & Down Syndrome Awareness month. Next week we will be celebrating Parker and all those rocking an extra chromosome and honoring the many people in our community and world who are affected by breast cancer. Our Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd graders enjoyed learning about fire safety from Mr. LaGiglia and Mr. McGarry. In science class, our Jr. High students had the opportunity to learn about calculating their heart rate from Mrs. Bilecki and Mrs. O’Keefe and our Academic Team met for the first time with Ms. Stalla. Please remember to send pictures of your loved ones who have passed away to honor them on our Ofrenda. October was a busy month filled with laughter, learning, and joy. We looking forward to all that is to come in November. We are so blessed to be part of a school and community that is so vibrant. Go Buckeyes! ~ Mr. Jonathan Stack & Ms. Grace Sadowski

Stay in the Know is a new feature at St. Barnabas.  It is a rotating announcement flyer with quick QR links to information.  It is always on display at the main entrance of the school, feel free to have a look when you’re on campus.  It is also featured at the top of the newsletter each week.

Substitute Teachers Needed

“Teaching is a work of heart” We are so blessed with incredibly dedicated teachers here at St. Barnabas. We are currently looking for passionate, hardworking, loving people to be substitute teachers. Substitute teachers are not required to have teaching degrees and often bring a variety of different perspectives and experiences to our students. Training and orientation would be provided for those who are interested. If you would like to join our team or have questions about this opportunity please contact Ms. Grace Sadowski at [email protected] or Mrs. Sue Connolly at [email protected].

Virtus training is an essential and mandatory component of being involved at St. Barnabas. To volunteer for classroom parties, lunch duty, Fun Food, field trip chaperoning, coaching, or any school-related activity involving students you MUST be Virtus compliant.  ALL Virtus accounts must be updated on an annual basis. Well over 50% of current parents/guardians have a Virtus account that is not properly updated for this school year, and therefore not compliant. Virtus accounts not compliant by October 30, will be deactivated. Please log into your account, update your information, and complete any necessary training modules. In your Virtus account, incomplete information is highlighted in pink. For questions on your account, contact Mrs. Sheri Jendra at [email protected].
