My heartfelt appreciation to all of you who contributed in any way to the 2018 Rejoice Fall Festival. A hearty Minnesota thanks to those whose jobs were outside on Saturday!
Many of you helped for several days in a row last week. The cooks and bakers, the Granny’s Gang, the strategic planners who; made sure the grills were clean and had propane, the lutefisk was cut and prepared, the reservations were logged, the raffle tickets were sold, the produce was picked, the food was purchased, the donations were solicited, picked up, logged and displayed, the tables were picked up and returned, the signs made and hung, etc. etc. Tasks too numerous to recount were accomplished with your help. To all of you who took a day off work to help on Friday, a huge thank you. We do manage to rally and get the job done!
Thanks to all our donors, no matter what or where. All of the things you gave helped make our day a success. As one person said, “I wouldn’t miss it”!
A very special thanks to our youth, who transformed our church last Wednesday evening. Many were also present on Saturday to help where needed. Parents, please make sure you pass along this thank you. Our youth are very valuable to our event.
Another special thank you to Carol of Carol Crow fame! She is the glue in the office and an expert at remembering what needs to be done. Thank you Carol!
Once again we served, according to those who were asked, an outstanding Lutefisk and Swedish Meatball dinner. Good job!!!
Final tallies will be shared when all money has been collected and all expenses paid.
I am jotting down my thoughts and ideas regarding this annual event and I invite you to do the same. Join me in fellowship hall between services next Sunday to add your comments and ideas, 3 x 5 cards will be available. Or an emailed thought is welcome too.
With sincere thanks,
Rhoda Senkler
