Dear Friends,

I begin with a sincere hope that this Memorial Weekend is one that honors all who have served our country. At the beginning of worship this coming Sunday I will be asking for those who have served to share which branch, and we will give thanks for their service.

I also hope that those of you who are traveling find a safe and refreshing time away. Now that we are livestreaming worship you can join us from your phone or tablet for worship right where you are, miles and miles away!

On Sunday we will spend time on a key character in John's gospel- Nicodemus. We remember him coming to Jesus with curiosity at Jesus' teaching about being born again, and Jesus' famous words of John 3:16. But, did you know that Nicodemus appears several other times in John? Who was this guy? What do we know and wish we knew? What do we think happened to him after Jesus ascended to heaven? I honestly don't know solid answers to many of these questions, but I invite you to imagine with me.

We pray: God, open our minds and hearts to imagine with you how we are similar to Nicodemus in our quest to know you better, to let go of certainties and dream born again life into our approach to the world and all its inhabitants. Amen.

See you soon!

Amen

Pastor Jim
Coffee Fellowship

Coffee fellowship is an important part of our ministry at Rejoice. It is a great time for members to get acquainted, share with one another. We invite our visitors to join us for coffee fellowship so they can get to know us better.

Thank you to the volunteers and future hosts of Sunday fellowship for bringing and serving treats with us. Volunteer sign up is in Fellowship Hall.

In our busy lives, many of us have commitments that don’t allow us to provide treats for this ministry. There is a “free will” donation box when you pick up your treat. Please feel free to drop in a donation that will go toward the purchase of treats when we don’t have volunteers signed up to provide treats.

Thank you.
