Walking in the Light
This Sunday, we will hear these words from the book of First John: “If we walk in the light as he himself is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.”

What does it mean to walk in the light? Two words – fellowship and forgiveness. We talked about fellowship last Sunday, so you can guess where we’re headed this week. Join us for worship to hear how there is no greater freedom and no greater joy than walking with God in forgiveness!

Parking Lot Paving Update
The resurfacing project has begun. The first step of crack repair starts today, Friday, July 6. The chip seal portion will be scheduled within the next few days with a completion date most likely by the end of the month. The final step of striping would be approximately 3-4 weeks after that. Note this is all weather dependent.

See Sue Severson with questions.

Open Your Heart Summer Challenge
When school is out, families that rely on free and reduced breakfast and lunch programs have more meals to provide for, and unfortunately donations to the food shelf are not at a high level during the summer months. All food donations and monetary gifts given to the Clearwater/Clear Lake Food Shelf during the month of July will be counted toward a match.

"Singing Saints" Sing at Rejoice
The Saint Cloud Area Singing Saints Barbershop Chorus will be singing for a few minutes at the start of the Sunday, August 5 service. The Saint's men's chorus sings at four or five churches every August as part of their community service program. Every year they perform at the Paramount Theater in St. Cloud, and their show this past May 19th celebrated their 50th year of entertaining the St. Cloud area with four-part acapella harmony.

Although their repertoire includes a wide range of styles with contemporary songs and arrangements, their church sing-outs include hymns and gospel songs. They encourage men who love to sing to attend their practices every Tuesday night at 7:00 p.m. at Atonement Lutheran Church in St. Cloud . For more information, visit www.stcloudsingingsaints.com .
