Great Chili Feed

The Great Chili Feed is back… just in time for the Rejoice Annual Meeting and Super Bowl Sunday. This annual fundraiser benefits construction projects at Children’s Haven International in Reynosa, Mexico. Rejoice has had a 20-year mission partnership with this remarkable facility that provides housing, education, spiritual and parental care to children in need across the Mexican border.

The Men’s Mexico Mission Chili Team, led by Chef Brad Johnson and his band of amigos, will provide a variety of delicious chili for you and your family to warm up and relax on Super Bowl Sunday. The Great Chili Feed is a win-win! Chili will be available in takeout containers from the Rejoice kitchen after Sunday worship service until noon.

Soup-er Bowl Sunday

Regardless of who is vying to be the next Super Bowl champions, please bring canned soup (and other non-perishable items too!) to overflow the Clearwater-Clear Lake Food Shelf shopping cart. Noisy offering and offerings made to ELCA World Hunger on Pushpay that day will also support the food shelf. Let's help others eat like champions.

Calling All Amazon Shoppers

Do you shop online with Amazon? Do you want Amazon to donate to Rejoice?

When Amazon customers shop on another version of the Amazon’s website – smile.amazon.com – Amazon will donate 0.5% of the purchase price to Rejoice.

On your first visit to AmazonSmile, you need to select a charitable organization to receive donations from eligible purchases before you begin shopping. Amazon will remember your selection, and then every eligible purchase you make at smile.amazon.com will result in a donation. There are a lot of Rejoice Church’s listed so make sure you pick the Clearwater Minnesota Rejoice.

Everything else about the Amazon online shopping experience stays the same, including the shopping cart, wish lists and shipping options. The prices will also be the same. You use the same account on Amazon.com and AmazonSmile. Your shopping cart, wish list, wedding or baby registry, and other account settings are also the same.

There is no cap on the amount Amazon will donate and almost every physical product sold by them is eligible, which means tens of millions of items. All charities have received $124,651,081.04 as of February 2019.

I know 0.5% is not a lot but I spend a lot of money on Amazon and now I’m very pleased that Amazon will give a small portion of that money back to Rejoice. I hope you’ll join me switching from Amazon to AmazonSmile and smile every time you buy something from Amazon.
