Challenge? Yes!
Opportunity?? YES!!
Hopefully everyone read the important mailing that came this week about the “On Our Way Rejoice-ing” emphasis!? If not, please do. Then join the race to provide the seed money necessary to support the new settled pastor (the Call Committee is waiting for names and pastor profiles as you read this.)

Our challenge and opportunity is to be actively involved in the process- praying fervently and expectantly- while also stepping out in faith with extra financial gifts that say “Yes, we can do this!”

Thanks, in advance, for sharing in the journey, trusting that every contribution large and small moves us that much closer to the finish line!!

If you’re traveling this week, blessings!! If not, see you in worship as we ponder Solomon’s Wisdom.

Pastor Marlene

The Joy of Technology
We believe that everyone has a God-given gift, and a place within Rejoice to share that gift. Our worship services are in need of  additional tech hands to run the power point and sound system . If you have these skills or an interest in this area of service, call the Rejoice office at 320.558.6851 or email rejoice@rejoicelutheranchurch.org .

Best of all, no experience is needed! Training is provided. :)
Praise His Name!
Have you ever wanted to help lead worship through your musical talents and gifts? Now you can sign up in the blue music schedule binder found by the sound booth! Sign up to help lead worship just once or several times. Packets with music are available typically two weeks prior to the service to allow for practice time. Email Nicole Heberling at music@rejoicelutheranchurch.org if you have any questions. Thank you in advance!
Doing Good Work Together
The last summer service projects will be held on Wednesday, August 21. Plan your day to run from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Sign up at the Youth & Family table or email  sara@rejoicelutheranchurch.org .
God's Work, Our Hands Sunday, September 8
We’ll partner with Great River Faith in Action to be the hands and feet of Christ in our community! We will gather for a brief time of prayer, blessing and offering in the sanctuary at the regular worship time and then we’ll head out in service. There will be opportunities to serve for all ages, both at church and in the community.  Wear comfy work shoes and Rejoice gear that day. Learn more at https://www.elca.org/dayofservice and https://www.grfia.org/.
Lost and Exchanged
The next time you prepare a tasty supper in your crock pot (if you were a contributor of soup to the Lent suppers), you may find that your trusty crock pot insert just doesn’t fit the way it used to. Why? Because it may not be yours, but Linda Painter’s. A mix-up of black crock inserts has occurred. Please call Linda at 320.761.0007 and both of you will be happily making crock pot dinners again.
Life is a Picnic
Can we let summer pass without a Rejoice pot luck picnic? If you would like to plan this event, please contact Liz Smith at 320.558.6887. A sign-up sheet will be posted in the Fellowship Hall if you’re interested in lending a hand.
Bible Study Opportunity
Women's Bible study group meets the first Tuesday of every month at 10:00 a.m. in the meeting room at Rejoice. Please join in!
Clean Your Closet for a Cause
Reminder: bring your household items for Granny's Attic or Silent Auction donations to Rejoice during office hours or on Sunday mornings.
