New Starts - New Wonder
Just as September brings new starts and new wonder in our schools and in our communities, so it does here at Rejoice! Confirmation, Faith Formation and our first week of midweek services were filled with energy, learning, interaction and joy! We expect more of the same as we gather for Rally Sunday this week. Families with children ages PreK through Grade 5 are encouraged to be in the sanctuary by 9:10 a.m. for Family Music and Movement. (VBS taught us how much fun it is to dance and sing together in the name of Jesus!) Worship follows at 9:30 a.m., (traditional format this week), with Sunday School (Faith5) and Fellowship at 10:30 a.m. Your presence will only add to the wonder!!

If you haven't responded to the "On Our Way Rejoice-ing" emphasis, it's not too late. We're still in the 'start-up phase' with thirty-three individuals or households already responding. But we're confident that now with people back from cabins and vacations the race will take off with even more energy and enthusiasm! Look for information, the colorful banner and response envelopes in the gathering area.

BTW: thanks to all who shared in the GWOH (God's Work Our Hands) experience last week. Hearts were touched, lives were changed, and Christ's love was evident! (If you couldn't participate, mark your calendars now for next year!)

Peace and blessings on your week!
Pastor Marlene

All That Really Belongs to Us is Time
Before the three R s of Reduce, Reuse and Recycle, there was a different meaning in yesteryear. Do you remember?

Be sure to come to the next Young @ Heart meeting to travel back in time with Doug Ohman, photographer, historian and storyteller. We'll reminisce about recess, school lunch and the three R s. His photographs will bring history to life and smiles and laughter to the audience.
  • Thursday, September 19
  • Doors open at 10:30 a.m. for coffee, cards or conversation
  • Lunch at Noon, followed by presentation

Make your reservations through the Rejoice office: call 320.558.6851 or email rejoice@rejoicelutheranchurch.org .

Young @ Hearts is always looking for smiling faces that may be able to help prepare the fellowship hall for our events and help where needed. You can either call or send an email and we will follow up with more details about what the needs are.
Overcomer Bible Study Date Change
Many people feel they are less than who God says they are. We get our identity from our careers, our political positions, our roles in the family, and a number of other lesser things.

However, what is most true about us is that we are made by a God who loves us, and the gospel can bring us into a relationship with Him. When we understand who God is, we more fully understand who we are.

This group study will let us examine how we determine our identity and how we can find our true identity in Christ.  Join us for the Overcomer Bible study beginning:
  • Wednesday October 2
  • 6:30 p.m.
  • Education wing meeting room

Please sign-up in Celebration Hall or email Chari Ahrenholz a cahrenholz252@gmail.com by Wednesday, September 18th. Hope to see you there!
