What's happening

at Christ Church

Sacred Ground

Join us for a dialogue series exploring race and racism in the United States. This spiritual journey will consider the roots of racism and its on-going development in discussions supported by video and readings. It is grounded in the examples of Jesus Christ and the power of scripture, prayer, God’s grace, and the Holy Spirit.

As part of Becoming a Beloved Community, an initiative of the Episcopal Church begun in 2019, Sacred Ground holds a vision wherein all people are honored, protected, and nurtured as beloved children of God. Our study will include historical information about indigenous, Black, Latino, and Asian American histories as they intersect with European American histories in shaping our country.

This new circle will meet on Sunday evenings starting at 5:30 p.m. After our individual preparations for each session, we will gather for conversations lasting about one hour and a half every other week between May 3 and June 28 and between September 13 and November 22 in 2026. We will begin with an organizational meeting on April 19 via Zoom. Our host will be Christ Church, Hudson. Our conversations will be in person and, if there is a need, also via Zoom. The co-facilitators are The Rev. Jane Brady-Close and Susanna Grannis.

Members and friends of Episcopal churches in the Hudson Valley Deanery (Columbia and Greene counties) are invited to join us.

Christ Church Arts Presents

Spring-a-Fair

It's that time of year to start doing your spring cleaning! We are now accepting items for the Spring-a-Fair!

Food Donations Needed!

We have seen a significant increase in demand for food from our mini-pantry and are only anticipating that to grow. Please consider donating non-perishable items as soon as possible. Collection boxes will be in the parish hall and the narthex. We will also accept personal hygiene items, baby and adult diapers, and baby food (but not infant formula) as well as monetary donations.

Funds are also available if anyone would like to buy a large amount of food or other items and be fully or partially reimbursed. Please contact the church office if you would like to do this.

Dedications

The Easter Flowers in the church are given to the Glory of God in memory of departed loved ones, by our members and friends.

Flowers on the High Altar may be dedicated to loved ones by members of the congregation. Please call the office with the name(s) you wish to commemorate and the Sunday you prefer. A donation is requested; the church provides the flowers.

Requieum

It is with great sadness but with sure and certain hope in the resurrection of the dead that we announce the passing of Ed Bratton on March 29, 2026. Services will be held on Friday, April 10 at Bates & Anderson Funeral Home at 11:00am.
