Annual Meeting Notice

Please take notice that the 224th Annual Meeting of the Parish of Christ Church, Episcopal, in the City of Hudson will take place on the First Sunday after the Epiphany, being January 11, 2026, following divine service in the Jones-Groves Parish Hall.

The following elections will take place (please note changes):

  • One (1) Churchwarden for a 2-year term.
  • Two (2) Vestrypersons for a 3-year term
  • Two (2) Vestrypersons to fulfill 2-year unexpired terms.
  • Three (3) Delegates and One (1) Alternate to Diocesan Convention and Deanery Convocation.

Nominations can be submitted in writing to the rector or made from the floor. All nominations must be moved and seconded.

Churchwardens and Delegates to Diocesan Convention must be baptized, communicants, confirmed or received in the Episcopal Church, who have been members in good standing of this parish for at least one calendar year and are at least eighteen years of age.

Vestrypersons must be baptized communicants who have been a member in good standing of this parish for at least one calendar year and are at least eighteen years of age.

Immediate family members (spouses, parents and children, siblings, in-laws, etc.) may not serve together as churchwardens and/or vestrypersons. No immediate family member of the rector or any other clergy assigned to the parish shall be eligible to serve as churchwarden or vestryperson.

All are welcome to attend the annual meeting and are granted voice. However, nominators and voters must be members in good standings of this parish at least sixteen years of age. A "member in good standing" is any baptized person recognized by the rector as a regular communicant and by the treasurer as a regular contributor to the work of the parish.

Epiphany House Blessings

Blessed chalk as well as printed prayers and instructions are available in the parish hall. There is also a sign-up sheet for those who would be interested in Fr. Bill blessing their home in person.

Safe Church Training Day

Christ Church will host a deanery wide Safe Church Training on Saturday, January 17. Per diocesan and national church policy, ALL lay ministers, key holders, employees and elected leaders will be required to complete these trainings within the calendar year, and everyone is encouraged to do so.

Information from the Diocese:

These training days will offer viewing of online training videos in a classroom setting, making the content more accessible and helping participants learn how to access the training independently. Individual accounts using a personal email are required, and Kait Hyde will be available to assist with setup. If participants are able to complete the training on their own, this is encouraged, as no additional content will be added during the training day.

Trainings will be held within each deanery. While the featured training is hosted by the Hudson Valley Deanery, participants from any deanery are welcome, and all are encouraged to attend.

Please RSVP to Kait Hyde at KHyde@CtKCenter.org

 or 518.692.9550 ext. 115.

Special Note: We want to remind everyone that these trainings are not just for churches with active youth programs. All of the following roles still need a selection of these trainings: keyholders, lay leadership, clergy (including retired members), all elected positions, children's ministries, and more. You can find more information on our Safe Church policies at Sexual Misconduct Prevention – Episcopal Diocese of Albany

We have seen a significant increase in demand for food from our mini-pantry and are only anticipating that to grow. Please consider donating non-perishable items as soon as possible. Collection boxes will be in the parish hall and the narthex. We will also accept personal hygiene items, baby and adult diapers, and baby food (but not infant formula) as well as monetary donations.

Funds are also available if anyone would like to buy a large amount of food or other items and be fully or partially reimbursed. Please contact the church office if you would like to do this.
