Rogation & Ascension

The days before the feast of the Ascension have been traditionally observed by the church as Rogationtide - a special time for asking God's blessing on the year's planting and the fruits of our labor. This Sunday Fr. Bill will offer the Rogation blessings in church of symbolic amounts of seeds, soil and water, but you are welcome to bring seeds, soil or water from your own gardens and fields to be blessed as well. Garden crosses will also be blessed that families are welcome to take home to your own gardens and places of work.

On Thursday, May 14 we will host the Hudson Valley Deanery Ascension Day service with a festive Holy Eucharist. Dean Jane Brady-Close will preach and Fr. Bill will celebrate. We will have a massed deanery choir and lay ministers participating from our neighboring parishes. A potluck supper will follow. Please plan to attend this high holy day and bring a dish to pass if you can.

Spring-a-Fair

It's that time of year to start doing your spring cleaning! We are NOW accepting items for the Spring-a-Fair! You may leave them in the Parish Hall!

Food Donations Needed!

We have seen a significant increase in demand for food from our mini-pantry and are only anticipating that to grow. Please consider donating non-perishable items as soon as possible. Collection boxes will be in the parish hall and the narthex. We will also accept personal hygiene items, baby and adult diapers, and baby food (but not infant formula) as well as monetary donations.

Funds are also available if anyone would like to buy a large amount of food or other items and be fully or partially reimbursed. Please contact the church office if you would like to do this.

Dedications

Flowers on the High Altar may be dedicated to loved ones by members of the congregation. Please call the office with the name(s) you wish to commemorate and the Sunday you prefer. A donation is requested; the church provides the flowers.
