March 20, 2019
Dear Village Resident ,
I’m writing to inform you of how important it is to vote in the upcoming election. The Consolidated Election on Tuesday, April 2 is one of the most important and overlooked elections in our state. On April 2 you will have the opportunity to vote for individuals who will make decisions on how much we pay in property taxes and how our kids are educated. They also plan and make decisions on street maintenance, snowplowing, police, planning & zoning, and economic development in the village and throughout the county. Elected officials make laws and tough decisions every day. Are taxing bodies being responsible to the taxpayers and the needs of their districts? Your local elected official is the closest you will ever get to someone in government that cares and will listen to you. Please consider educating yourself in the upcoming election and vote for our future. Your vote does count as sometimes these elections are won or lost by one vote. You will have a choice to vote for representation in Municipal, Township, County, College, Library and Fire Protection Districts. Please support our future and vote on April 2. Early voting has started! For voting locations and early voting information, visit the McHenry County website here .
