Dear Village Resident,
We have an Adopt a Highway opening for any interested group, family or individual. The section is on Main Street from Winn Road to Blivin Street and is 0.6 miles long. Your group name will be displayed on a new Adopt a Highway sign. The agreement runs for two years and litter must be collected a minimum of four times a year. Safety vests and garbage bags along with pickers are supplied by the village. Call 815-675-2121 for more information.
Toys for Tots Collection Locations
Help a child in need have a happy Christmas by dropping off a new, unwrapped toy at one of the following locations by December 15!
Celebrating 10 Years!
Nature's Feed will be celebrating their 10-year anniversary this Saturday, November 17. Yes, 10 years! Stop by for swag bags, raffles, and yummy treats for you and your fur kids. Yard Waste Pick-up

Groot will continue to pick up yard waste until the last week of November. Purchase yard waste stickers at Jewel or the Village Municipal Centre. Weekend landscape waste burning ends the last weekend in November. Considering mowing leaves into the lawn. View burning regulations and other suggestions for disposing of yard waste here .

Christmas Tree Lighting Festival
You're invited to the Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Festival on Saturday, December 1 from 3:30 - 5:30 PM at Horse Fair Park . Visit with Santa, enjoy a hay ride & storytelling, crafts, refreshments and the tree lighting at 5 PM! The enclosed pavilion will be heated.
