This house at 8005 Blivin Street looks like the perfect Halloween house! It was built in the late 1880s probably by Andrew Neish and later purchased by Frank Schumacher. Frank ran a dry goods store at 1928 Main Street (the Main Street Foods building) that he also purchased from Mr. Neish. Frank and his wife, Anna, lived in this house with their seven children. Sadly, in 1911 Anna died in the house after catching fire when she was relighting the stove while doing the family laundry. Frank then sold the store and house and moved to Bakerville, Wisconsin. He remarried in 1917. The house still stands but...unfortunately... is a little more friendly-looking after renovations over the years.
