Dear Village Resident ,
The Illinois Department of Transportation has announced they will begin improvements to the intersection of Route 173 and Wilmot Road in Fox Lake starting this coming Monday, April 22. Left hand turn lanes and traffic lights will be added to the intersection. Occasional lane closures will be required so expect delays and allow extra time to get through this area. As always, please pay close attention to flaggers and signs in the work zone and obey the posted speed limits. Work is expected to be completed by the end of October. Updates will be available here .
Help Wanted
The Village is seeking interested applicants for two part-time seasonal positions in the Public Works Department. Main responsibilities include lawn mowing, weed-whacking, trash pick-up and general landscaping for all village-owned properties. Click here to download an application.
Felix and Fingers Dueling Piano Act
Come to a night of entertainment on Friday, May 3, as Felix and Fingers performs at the Bricks & Ivy Sports Tavern from 8 - 11 PM. They are one of best dueling piano acts in the area! RBBA Opening Day Celebration

McHenry County Human Race
Support our community in the McHenry County Human Race on Sunday, April 28! The 5K walk /run takes place at McHenry County College and will support over 70 nonprofit organizations serving McHenry County. This family-friendly event begins at 8 AM. Adopt-A-Highway Opening
The Village is looking for a group, business or family to adopt South Solon Road from May Lane to Harts Road. The agreement runs for two years and litter must be collected a minimum of four times a year. Bags, vests and pickers are supplied by the village. Your group name will be displayed on the Adopt-A-Highway road sign. Please call 815-675-2121 for more information.

Drop It and Drive
April is National Distracted Driving Awareness Month. The Police Department will be ticketing drivers who text or use their cellphones while driving. Over the past decade, distracted driving has become one of the leading causes of vehicle crashes on our roads. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Association, 3,166 people died in motor vehicle crashes involving distracted drivers in 2017. Read more here...
