December 26, 2018
Dear Village Resident,
Holiday Hours
The Municipal Centre will be closed Tuesday, January 1, in observance of the New Year's Day holiday.
Happy New Year from Groot!
Waste pickup will be delayed one day next week due to the New Year's Day holiday. In 2019 the new monthly rate for waste collection will go down from $21.70 to $20.50. The new senior monthly rate will be $18.50. Landscape Waste stickers will go down from $2.70 to $2.00 a sticker and the annual subscription will go down to $100 for the season.
Christmas Tree Disposal
Christmas trees may be placed out for Groot to pick up on your garbage day through January 9. Or recycle your tree by bringing it to Glacial Park in Ringwood (off Harts Road & Route 31). The trees are processed into mulch so all decorations must be removed. You can also use the branches of your tree as winter mulch by laying them over your gardens.
