Officer Dave Holem was honored upon his retirement after 30 years of public service at the October 2 Village Board meeting. President Mark Eisenberg recognized Officer Holem for the many contributions he made to the residents of Spring Grove during his successful career, while Police Chief Tom Sanders looked on. Congratulations, Officer Holem!
New Polling Place and other Nov. 6 Voting Information
Richmond Township District 2's new polling place is the Spring Grove Municipal Centre at 7401 Meyer Road. Subdivisions in this district include Spring Meadows, Spring Oaks, Nottingham Woods, Spring Grove Estates, Fieldstone Ridge, Highland Estates and Stonegate. Election Day is November 6. Polls are open from 6 AM - 7 PM. To vote by mail, find early voting dates and locations , find your polling place , look at a sample ballot or find other information, click here.
AARP Driver Safety Class Registration Deadline this Friday
The AARP Smart Driver course could save you money on your car insurance! Learn techniques for handling left turns, roundabouts and proven driving methods to help keep you safe on the road. 4-H Open House
4-H programs offer the chance for children ages 8 - 18 to develop new skills, travel to new places, experience new situations and meet new friends. Nearly 200 project categories to learn about! Archery Class
Archery class starts this Sunday, October 14, and still has some openings. Archers will spend time learning about equipment, shooting at targets, and participating in archery-based activities. Taught on an individual level. View Page 5 of the flyer for more info.

Nature's Feed Halloween Photo & Fun Contest
Nature's Feed and Sharmila of Pics for Pups are hosting a Halloween photo event for your fur kids this Saturday, October 13 from 11 AM - 2 PM!! The event will benefit Helping Paws Animal Shelter in Woodstock.

One for the Team
Show your team spirit by joining a fundraiser to support Richmond Burton Community High School's volleyball team's support for breast cancer research. Travel Basketball Program for Girls
The Village of Spring Grove/Richmond is looking into possibly putting together a girls Travel Junior Rockets Basketball Program. If you have a daughter in 6th - 8th grade who may be interested in participating, please email Janice Bannon here . This would be a Spring League.

Burning of landscape waste is allowed on the weekends in October and November with restrictions. View them here .
