Join the fun at the Easter Egg Hunt this Saturday, April 13, at 2 PM! Meet the Easter Bunny and bring your basket. Find the "special eggs" and win a fun-filled basket or other special prizes! To be held at the RB Community High School gym at 8311 Rte. 31 in Richmond. Four age groups from infants to 10. The hunts start promptly at 2 so don't be late! Pancake Breakfast this Sunday
The Spring Grove Fire Explorer Post 1800 is hosting their annual Pancake Breakfast this Sunday, April 14 from 8 AM - Noon. Adults - $6, Children - $4. Proceeds help them attend the U of I Fire Service Institute. Located at the Fire Station at 8214 Richardson Road. View the flyer .
Nippersink Library & New PrairieCat Online Catalog
The Nippersink Library will be switching to a new on-line catalog called PrairieCat. PrairieCat offers direct access to over 8 million items from 170+ Illinois libraries. If you have "saved searches" and "reading histories" in the old on-line catalog, they will not migrate to the new system. If you want to save your reading history, click here for instructions. Drop It and Drive
April is National Distracted Driving Awareness Month. The Police Department will be ticketing drivers who text or use their cellphones while driving. Over the past decade, distracted driving has become one of the leading causes of vehicle crashes on our roads. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Association, 3,166 people died in motor vehicle crashes involving distracted drivers in 2017. Read more here...
Adopt-A-Highway Opening
The Village is looking for a group, business or family to adopt South Solon Road from May Lane to Harts Road. The agreement runs for two years and litter must be collected a minimum of four times a year. Bags, vests and pickers are supplied by the village. Your group name will be displayed on the Adopt-A-Highway road sign. Please call 815-675-2121 for more information.

RBBA Opening Day Celebration
You're invited to the RBBA Annual Opening Day Celebration on Saturday, April 27, at Thelen Park. Parade of Athletes starts at 11:15. WLAC Nerf Wars this Saturday
