United Way of Tompkins County’s 2026 Youth and Philanthropy (YAP) grant cycle is now open! This program empowers local 10th-, 11th-, and 12th-graders to engage in their community and learn about philanthropy. Students act as grant reviewers, evaluating community needs and distributing $25,000 yearly to organizations that meet those needs. Over the course of the program, they develop skills in consensus building, critical thinking, community assessment, and interview techniques.
