Friday 1/23: March for Life

(10:30am-4:30pm)

We still have quite a few spots available on the buses!

No cost, but you must sign up to reserve a seat.

• Non-Parishioners & Non-Catholics are invited to join us!
• Families/Adults: Email Liz Hildebrand if you would like to reserve a spot (or more) on the bus.
• Any 7-12th graders who would like to attend but do not have a parent able to go with you are invited to go under the supervision of the Youth Apostolate (on the parish buses). Please email Jeanne ASAP with your Permission slip so she can reserve your spot on the bus.

Fri. Jan 23: March for Life St. Raymond’s Youth Apostolate will be joining the parish for the annual March for Life on Friday, January 23. Parents are encouraged to join us, however, if any 7-12th graders would like to go but do not have parents going, please come with the youth apostolate! We will march with the parish, helping to carry our banner. Permission slips are online at http://bit.ly/YAforms

Fri. Jan. 23 (5:45-7:45pm) High School Service Opportunity:

Mrs. Burns is wondering if there are any high school teens who would be willing to help this Friday, January 23rd from 5:45-7:45pm with clean-up support after the chili dinner (after the March for Life)? Tasks that she needs help with include washing crockpots, emptying trash, sweeping the floor and possibly stacking chairs. She would be so grateful for any support the youth could offer after the long day of the march and dinner preparations. She can sign off on service hour needs, if you need them. Please email Jeanne if you can help.

Friday, January 30: 6:30am Mass & Breakfast

Invitation to all 7-12th Graders: Add Mass before class as a part of your Friday sacrifice, then come downstairs for breakfast with Fr. Bergida & Fr. Horkan before school!  Please RSVP at https://bit.ly/FRIDAYRSVPS if possible. If you RSVP by Wednesday, we can bring you to your school right from breakfast. Just let us know what time you need to be there!

Sorry for the delay on Steubenville registration. I had some logistical issues that needed to be worked out, and now just need to get the information online for you. The website will be updated and registration will be available this coming week. The dates will be July 16-19th (Thursday-Sunday) this year. Space is limited to 25 people this year since the conference is sold out. I will send another email to let you know once the website is updated and registration is ready. Current 8-12th graders are invited to join us for a weekend away with a few thousand Catholic teens to encounter God and experience His love through the power of the Sacraments, dynamic Catholic speakers, uplifting music and new friends! In our ever-changing world, Jesus is the answer to the longing of our hearts for meaning, fulfillment, security, and love. Join our group in road tripping to Franciscan University in Steubenville, OH to experience the peace of Jesus Christ. 

Jr. High Youth Group Update:

Due to several factors, Jr. High youth group will not be held on Thursday evenings this semester. I am working and praying about how to minister to this age group going forward as I know it is a crucial time in one's faith journey, but we have had limited success in finding a time/day that works for folks to meet on a consistent basis. Please keep the Jr. High Youth Apostolate in your prayers.
