"I thank my God every time I remember you, constantly praying with joy in every one of my prayers for all of you, because of your sharing in the gospel from the first day until now." (Phil. 1: 3-5)

Thank you for all you do for youth in your congregations and communities. You make a difference in their lives and faith!

Grades 6-9
Cragun's Resort

Early bird registration has ended, but you can still register until November 5 at the standard rate!

As we get used to the new online registration system, here are 4 tips for Primary Leaders for the Middle School Gathering:

  • To make an addition to your group, use the “Register Now” button and choose “This is an addition to an existing registration.” Please do not use the edit link in your confirmation email…unless you want all your early-bird registration to be charged the standard rate! ;)

  • To make a substitution or cancellation to your group…or add pizzas, use the “Changes Form” button.

  • If you have multiple housing changes due to additions or cancellations, please email msg@nemnsynod.org with your updated housing requests.

Discipling Cohorts

An Invitation from the ELCA Youth Ministry Network...
Let’s be honest. Life in ministry can be exhausting.
  • Do you wish you had time to focus on a professional goal or project?
  • Are you considering a new vocational call?
  • Do you need time to deepen your own spiritual life before you can walk alongside others?
If so, we invite you to join a Discipling Cohort group.

Discipling Cohort groups, facilitated by a trained peer coach, gathering about once a month (most likely online) for an intentional time of spiritual and vocational growth. Participants will support each other as each cohort member creates a three-year personal development plan.

Peer Coaches are a critical part of the Discipling Cohorts Initiative. Coaches will participate in a training during the 2019 Extravaganza and then accompany your cohort on a year long journey of growth.

Workshops give you the nuts and bolts of ministry, “take-aways” you can start using the next week, and new ways of thinking about your ministry. Experience the disruptive nudging of the Holy Spirit moving you forward in ministry.

The Extravaganza connects leaders for ministry...
Come, be connected. We are not meant to do ministry alone. There is a dynamic, vibrant community of colleagues who share in the same struggles and joys that you do. Some of the most powerful moments at the Extravaganza happen not in the formal sessions, but in the lounge areas and restaurants of the hotel, as you sit across the from someone with the same job description and ask: “So what works for you?”, “What brings you joy?” Experience the disruptive joy of new and renewed friends in ministry connected through Christ
