We had an amazing Synod Journey to the ELCA Youth Gathering. I have put together some reflections on the Synod Journey that you can read here, but we all know it will take months to fully hear the stories of what God was up to in the lives of our young people - and adults! But for now, I'll just share this paragraph from my reflections:

"It is hard to explain the Synod Journey, and this reflection only scrapes the surface. What happens when you spend a year intentionally investing in the faith lives of young people? They are challenged, stretched, nurtured, and transformed. They grow in faith...and are 'ready to live for this' faith. As one young woman shared in her evaluation, 'I feel so compelled and empowered to be the changed in the world. This journey really lit a fire in me...'"

Thank you for the work you do to light, fan and nurture the flames of faith in our young people. With the Holy Spirit working in and through you, this really does Change Everything!

Together in Christ,
