And here is what Swami said:
I also want to thank you for being here. God always wants to be with His devotees, just as devotees want to be with God. Just as children want to be with their mother, the mother also wants to be with her children. That way, when the children need their mother most, she is always there for them. Even before the child opens its mouth to call out, its mother, ever watchful, is always in tune with her child. That is why I am here; because you need Me; and you are here because I need you!

Introduction of Annapoorna Protein Mix for Siddlaghatta Taluk Schools

Annapoorna added a new approach to address the mission of building nutrition by introducing a protein mix that will be given to school children as a part of their morning breakfast.
Since rural school children are seen to have lower levels of nutrition, Annapoorna has come up with this protein mix, which will be mixed with the milk that is being provided by the Government of Karnataka under the Ksheera Bhagya Scheme.

Oracle CSR Event in
Marathahalli Government School

Annapoorna and Oracle got together for yet another successful CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) event on Saturday, September 1, 2018. The CSR event was conducted in Marathahalli Government School in Bangalore. This school, which has a strength of 107 students, is a recipient of Annapoorna's breakfast programme.

Annapoorna Breakfast for
Musthyala Village School Children

|
Annapoorna breakfast programme was launched on Saturday, September 1, 2018, in the Zilla Parishad High School in Musthyala village which is a part of Siddipet District in the State of Telangana.
The 400 children who are studying in this school will, from now on receive Annapoorna free breakfast on a daily basis. The children were served with delicious Upma on the day of the launch. The teachers and the villagers expressed their happiness for the breakfast programme launch.

Timely Medical Intervention for a Child
|
|
The Annapoorna volunteers who serve breakfast daily to the Ragigudda slums in JP Nagar in Bangalore, provided immediate medical attention to a tiny tot to prevent further complications from developing.
The volunteers noticed that a two year old child suffered from intense chest infection, probably due to poor hygienic and wet conditions in the slums. They also noticed that the parents were in a very poor condition, unable to afford even basic treatment.

Eye Camp and Stationery Kit for
Hyderabad Annapoorna Children

Last week, volunteers of the Annapoorna breakfast programme at Hyderabad conducted eye camps and distributed pencil boxes along with stationery kits in the various Annapoorna breakfast schools.
About 275 children benefited from this. Post screening, the team distributed spectacles to the children and staff as required.

Ganesha Chaturthi Celebrations

|
Volunteers and school children across multiple Annapoorna Centres throughout the country celebrated Ganesha Chaturthi with love and fervor!
The school children from Sriramapuram village in Vizianagaram District, where Annapoorna serves breakfast daily, made beautiful eco-friendly Ganesha Idols and invoked Lord Ganesha's blessings.
The Hoshiarpur village near Noida saw school children and Annapoorna volunteers come together and celebrate the festival, spreading happiness and cheer all around. The teachers, volunteers and children sang
Bhajans
and offered haldi (turmeric), kumkum (vermilion powder) and flowers to Lord Ganesha. Modak
Prasadam
was distributed to all.

Annapoorna Breakfast for
Bagalkot’s Metgudd Village

Annapoorna marched deeper into Karnataka state by launching the breakfast programme in Metgudd village in Mudhol Taluk.
The breakfast inauguration at the Lower Primary School in the village, which is a part of Bagalkot District, was attended and inaugurated by the Block Education Officer and other officers and committee members.
The school, which has a strength of 54 children, will be provided daily with a good breakfast.

Annapoorna Breakfast in
Nagarkurnool’s Peddur School

On Saturday, Annapoorna breakfast programme was launched in yet another school called Peddur School which comes under the Nagarkurnool District in the State of Telangana.
It is interesting to note that the village’s Panchayat along with some others came forward themselves, to fund the cost involved in implementing the breakfast programme. However Annapoorna will be entirely monitoring all operations and ensuring quality control. 80 children who study at the school will now receive nutritious breakfast daily.
It’s great to note that villagers are taking active part in driving the mission of Nutrition!

Families Unite for Breakfast Programme

The residents of the Sri Sathya Sai Grama
Ashram
, situated at
Muddenahalli
in Chikkaballapur District, have come forward with an idea of ‘putting many hands to make work light’. They contribute to the breakfast programme in some nearby villages.
Every week, the residents of the
Ashram
contribute five chapatis per family that will be used to feed school children in the surrounding villages. The school children attending the Government Higher Primary School in
Muddenahalli
village have received and relished the breakfast.
Fruit jam is served along with the chapatis, instantly bringing smiles on the faces of the 70 children studying at the school. Some children requested if they could also get peanut chutney with the chapatis the next time, clearly displaying their instant bonding with the volunteers!

on uniting for a selfless cause!

Sri Sathya Sai Baba once said, “Service to mankind, is service to God.”
Following His teachings, a group of youth from Colombo set out early for Batticaloa, a region on the East side of Sri Lanka, which is a seven to eight-hour drive; to take part in another noble project. The next morning, the youth gathered at the Medical Clinic which provides free medical care to the destitute and needy in that remote area. It was constructed on Swami’s instructions and was inaugurated by the Lord Himself. The staff had already gathered, for it was a clinic day and they eagerly waited alongside the youth to welcome the guests who were the students from the Dharmapuram School.

In addition to the 200 regular primary students, this school also caters for 49 children with Special Needs such as learning disabled, hearing impaired and intellectually challenged.
1,360 breakfast packets containing a biscuit packet, yoghurt drink tetra pack, a cheese balls packet, one loaf of bread and a parcelled, sliced cake were served to the children and teachers/caretakers for September, on each Thursday of the month.

Inspired by their Master and Lord, Sri Sathya Sai Baba who is the epitome of selfless service, these women are tirelessly working towards the betterment of poor, needy women staying in a women’s camp. Under the able participation of an Alumna of Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning, Anantapur Campus, an exemplary service to working women in need have been carried out on all Fridays. Every Friday, they spend quality time with the residents of the camp distributing toiletries and groceries, imparting basic, English knowledge, training on computer skills, health and hygiene classes, yoga classes and other awareness classes.

How I wonder what You Are
|

The paws of Maya and its grip supported by the Kali Purusha was very strong. Life became engulfed with daily banalities without any time for Swami.
My life with Swami seemed like it had ended after His Samadhi.
|
|
However, Swami did not forget me. He straightened up my part when He visited Sri Lanka in Sookshma Sharira Form at Hilton Hotel in 2015. I could not still believe how He orchestrated so magically so that my whole family were able to receive His Dharshan at Hilton. Needless to say, my parents had different views, yet He did not ignore them. One of the greatest miracles He did for me was the complete healing of my back pain which the consultants had concluded no complete cure.
