Peace, friends, and welcome to 2023!
This week we begin our weekly youth group meetings again, and next Sunday, 1/15 will be our first Sunday youth gathering. Unfortunately I'm home with covid this week (me and all 5 of my roommates!), but I hope to be better by this weekend so that we can gather Sunday morning. Unless you hear otherwise from me before then, we'll meet at 10 AM in the friendship room this Sunday.
This Wednesday, Jan. 11, Pastor Sam will meet with Bethlehem + St. Andrew's high schoolers for youth group at BLC.
One other thing: I'd like to invite you to pray for our broken world with me and a few others from your church community. In the parish hall on Sunday evening, Jan. 15, from 6-7 PM in the spirit of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. I'll be offering a liturgy for justice & peace at St. Andrew's. This service will have a lot of simple, prayerful music, as well as space for quiet contemplation as we call out to God for healing in our world. If you're ever overwhelmed by injustice or scared for the future of our planet, you might find this to be a very helpful service.
