Summer Worship Series: The Gift of Wonder

This summer, we're having fun and getting to know God in a new way. Experience The Gift of Wonder in our 9-week summer worship series. Can you imagine a God who dances with shouts of joy, laughs when you laugh, loves to play, enjoys life, and invites us to join in the fun?

In this series we will explore what it means to delight in God, to set our imaginations free, to return to the rhythm of life, to cultivate gratitude, and more. Using the book The Gift of Wonder by Christine Aroney-Sine as our guide, every week we will try a new practice for opening ourselves to awe and wonder–to God.
Call for Sunday School Teachers

You can help Hennepin's littlest members discover God's love as a Hennepin Kids for LYFE Sunday School teacher! Our Hennepin Kids for LYFE Sunday morning program continues to grow. For the third consecutive year, we are adding another Sunday school class to accommodate our Sunday School students, and more students means more teachers!

You are invited to join the team of Sunday School teachers. Teaching teams consist of 3 teachers per class. Each week one teacher signs up as lead teacher, with a second person acting as assistant teacher. Each teacher commits to teaching twice per month. All classroom materials and curriculum are provided.

New and experienced teachers are welcome. Contact Lynne Carroll with questions and to sign up! Lynne@haumc.org.
2019 Balch Memorial Fund Grants

The Jane E. Balch Memorial Fund enables Hennepin's United Methodist Women to make grants of up to $2,000 to organizations or ministries that benefit women, children and youth. Preference is given to small projects where the grant will make an immediate and significant impact. Contact umw@haumc.org for more information and to request an application. The completed form must be received by August 31 .
Summer Choir: A Great Place for Singing

During these beautiful summer months, the Sanctuary choir slips into "summer mode" and welcomes additional singers to join in the ministry. Instead of midweek rehearsals, the ensemble meets an hour before worship (9am) for musical preparation and prayer. Experienced singers (music-reading is advised, a love of singing required!) need only call or email Mark Squire to let him know you plan to sing a single week or for several summer Sundays! Come join in the joy of song!
