Youth Ministry News for January 2018
They were overjoyed at seeing the star, and on entering the house they saw the child with Mary his mother.

If you look up a different translation of the verse above (which we'll hear this Sunday), you might read that when the Magi saw the star, "they REJOICED exceedingly with great JOY." I love it when the  Bible  uses repetition to get our attention! Are we still in the joyful celebration of the Christmas season, or did we toss that out with used wrapping paper and New Year's party poppers? As Christians, we're called to foster and nourish the joy of having discovered Jesus all year long, and to look for ways to experience it anew each day. Perhaps we might have our own epiphany whereby we discover a humble Lord who loves us and has come to save us.

Below you'll find a listing of the things that are in store for our middle school and high school students this month of January. I hope that you will be able to join us for some of these offerings. May God richly bless you!

In Christ,
Bradley Barnes, Coordinator of Youth Ministry
