Youth Ministry Newsletter
August 2025
| | Dear Friends in Youth Ministry, | | |
Summer is flying by, and we’re happy to share some helpful details with you that will help you plan your upcoming year in ministry!
Many of you will be preparing students for the sacrament of Confirmation this coming year – in the Featured Announcements section below, we have a list of dates and locations for the Archdiocesan Confirmation Retreats for the 2025-2026 season. You’ll also need to fill out a Confirmation Date Request Form – even if you’re not planning to have a Confirmation Mass at your parish during 2026! The deadline to return this form to the Archbishop’s office is Friday, September 12th. The Date Request Form will be available in the C2P on Monday, August 11th – OR you can find a link to it in the All Things Confirmation announcement below!
You’ll also want to note a couple of upcoming dates for youth ministers and youth ministry teams:
-
The annual Youth Minister Volunteer Training & Networking event for youth ministry teams (including volunteers) is coming up on Saturday, August 23rd! (Please see the Featured Announcements section below – the deadline to register is Sunday, August 17th).
-
The annual Fall Gathering is for all ministers involved in faith formation – including youth ministry. The morning session is for new ministers, and the afternoon is for everyone… please mark your calendar: the 2025 Fall Gathering takes place on Tuesday, September 16th at the Archbishop Brunett Retreat Center in Federal Way. (stay tuned for additional info!)
And for planning further out, we’re so excited to let you know that Pope Leo has announced the dates for World Youth Day 2027! The next WYD will take place from August 3rd – 8th in Seoul, South Korea! If you are thinking of bringing a group, please let us know!
As always, we are here to serve you and support you in your ministry. Please let us know if there is anything you need!
Blessings to you!
