A NOTE FROM MIKE PORTER, INTERIM DIRECTOR OF YOUTH MINISTRY

Hello Christ Church Youth Families,

We have some fun and busy weeks ahead! From Trunk or Treat tomorrow, to game night, then a special mission project, and finally, Friendsgiving, there will be plenty of opportunities for our youth to connect with one another, have fun, and share God's love with others. 

TRUNK OR TREAT & COMMUNITY FUN NIGHT — FRIDAY, OCTOBER 30 

Our youth will be helping lead games and activities throughout the evening. This is a great opportunity for students to have fun together while serving our church and welcoming families from the community. 

**Youth are asked to arrive at 5:30 pm - pizza will be provided! 

LOOKING AHEAD — NOVEMBER YOUTH EVENTS 

We have several special activities planned for November. Mark your calendars! 

• November 1 – High School Dinner at Felipe's: High school students are invited to join us for dinner at Felipe's Mexican Kitchen at 6:15 pm. It's a great opportunity to enjoy a meal and spend time together! Dinner is free. 
• November 8 – Youth Group Game Night: Get ready for an evening of games, laughter, and friendly competition! 
• November 15 – Sweet Treats & Warm Feet: Our youth will be preparing and packing sweet treats and warm socks to remind members of our community that they are loved and valued by God. Families can help by signing up to provide socks or sweets. 
• November 22 – Youth Group Friendsgiving: We'll gather for an evening of food, friendship, and gratitude as we celebrate the blessings of community. 
• November 29 – Thanksgiving Break: No Sunday evening youth group. 

Thank you for continuing to support Christ Church Youth. We are grateful for the many ways our students, parents, and volunteers contribute to the life of our church. We look forward to a wonderful November together!

Wednesday Night Youth Hang Out

Join us on Wednesday nights from 6 - 7:30 pm in the Youth Center for fun, fellowship, gaming, and time together.

Pumpkin Carving & Painting is Tonight from 6 - 8 pm

Youth Ministry is hosting a collaborative pumpkin decorating event with our Scout Troop 317 and Watkins UMC Youth Ministry. The carved and painted pumpkins will be used to create a spooktacular display at Trunk or Treat! Pumpkins, paint, and pizza will be provided.

Trunk or Treat & Community Fun Night - Friday, October 30

Our annual Trunk or Treat is tomorrow! Our youth have once again been asked to help with games and activities during the event. This is a great opportunity for our students to serve our church and community while having some fun together. You can still sign up here!

Fall Retreat at Aldersgate Camp! Weekend of November 6 - 8

All ages are invited to come join the fun and enjoy the sacred space that Aldersgate has to offer! Experience creeks, hammocking, caving, hiking, folk dancing and see the historic Fitchburg furnace. The cost is $50 per family. Feel free to stay for the whole weekend or just come for part of it! Sign up here.

Laudate Winter Retreat 2027

Laudate is hosting its annual Winter Retreat on January 22-23! Join us for two days of food, fun, fellowship, and opportunities to sing for a couple of organizations around the Louisville metro area. Check-in begins Friday evening at 6 pm for an overnight stay at the church. Please pack a sack lunch for Saturday, and we'll wrap up back at church by 2 pm. This event is FREE! Questions? Youth Confirmation 2027

Confirmation is an important milestone in one's spiritual life. It's an exciting time of exploring, learning, and discerning what it means to be a Christian and a United Methodist. Youth participating in our Confirmation Ministry learn and practice ways to keep growing in faith and how to live into the vows taken during Confirmation. Sign up here!
