Holiday Giving at Westerly Hills and Lakewood Preschool
|
This year we will stage a free book fair at Westerly Hills Academy on Thursday, December 19, where students may choose three books to take home and read over winter break. Studies have shown that children who choose their own books are more engaged in what they are reading, read more for pleasure and ultimately perform better in school as a result.
Contribute
or
sign up to volunteer
online or at our table in the historic lobby through December 15. FPC can purchase books at a deep discount through a partnership with Scholastic, so your financial contribution maximizes our purchasing power.
Also this year, we will collect
donations
for holiday gifts for teachers and staff members at Westerly Hills and Lakewood. Signups for teacher appreciation goodies and gift cards are available on our
Shop to Share
signup online. In addition, we are working with our church schools’ families to provide gifts for Lakewood students.

High School Mexico Mission Trip
June 18-23, 2020
|
This summer we will be taking our mission trip group to Mexico.
Accion Presbyterian Ministries began in the early 1980’s. First Presbyterian Church began their long history with Accion in 1988 and since then youth and adults have participated in over 25 mission trips to all three states of Yucatan (Yucatan, Campeche, and Quintana Roo) through Accion. Members have ranged from 8 to 80 years old and teams have ranged from 13-50 members. We support their mission to improve the daily lives and Christian faith of the Mayan people in Mexico’s Yucatan peninsula.
If you have any questions or technical difficulties, please contact Natalie Raygor.
