Greetings, Friends!
While warm days still feel far away in March, in this issue you'll find a section on
summer fun
. In addition to the summer program information below for young people and families, I want to share with you an exciting opportunity for Friends involved in religious education programs in their meetings.
August 16-18, 2019, the Quaker Religious Education Collaborative will host their annual gathering for Friends
, this year at Powell House in New York.
PYM has funding for ten partial scholarships toward the cost of registration.
If you are interested in this support to attend, please be in touch with me!
The weekend is always inspiring, amazing connections are made across yearly meetings, and many ideas and resources are shared. Watch for more information about the
QREC
weekend program in future Tote Bag issues!

QREC is a grassroots network of Friends holding a sense of stewardship for life-long Quaker faith formation through religious education. We come from all branches of the international Quaker family. We are a community of practice, sharing resources, skills, gifts, questions and insights, and supporting each other in the ministry of Quaker faith formation.

Junior Friends Conference
& Middle School Friends Conference
George School - June 16-21, 2019
These
Abington Quarter programs
, open to all, work to create a Friendly intergenerational community of love and fun! Both JFC and MSFC are wonderful opportunities for children to live in a Quaker community environment, make Quaker friends, and learn Friendly ways. Leadership is nurtured in multiple ways with a primary example being the Middle school students planning an evening activity for the younger Junior Friends.
