While the Osterhout Free Library building is closed, we are still here for you! Below you will find resources your family can enjoy at home including e-books, databases, and activities you can do at home.

At the bottom of this newsletter you will find a survey to help us provide more helpful information to your family in future newsletters.Please take a moment to answer a few questions.

Osterhout Free Library Digital Resources
Though the physical library is closed, we have several resources that are always available at osterhout.info.
Find ebooks for the whole
family at Cloud Library.
including chapter books.

Download the app to set up your account, browse titles, and download books.

Kids Power Library offers some educational resources including Bookflix which offers ebooks of popular children's books as well as Trueflix which offers some interesting non-fiction books.

To gain access, just choose the resource and enter your library card number.

Wednesday marks the 50th Anniversary of Earth Day. Follow our Facebook page to find activities that you can do at home.

Science Saturday Scavenger Hunt
Is your young scientist itching to get outdoors? Get them to use their powers of observation with this nature scavenger hunt that your kids can do right in your own backyard. Your family can even create their own scavenger hunt!

Eggs-citing Science Saturday
This is one Science Saturday that you may want to save for after breakfast.

Can you tell if an egg is cooked just by moving it? Are eggshells fragile, or are they actually strong? To find out, check out the link here for experiments, an egg-cellent book to read, and a cool project!
