Settling into Fall!
Here at my office, it's all about Summer Reading 2024 - but the rest of the state is settling into Fall. We had a great (virtual) CSLP Annual Meeting in September with lots of great news and updates. We had 77 libraries complete their Summer Reading Surveys and got great feedback on programming ideas. We are putting together a training and workshop calendar that will look different this year - more program formats, more on-demand materials, and more coordination between local and national events.
I'm focused on getting ready for the NMLA conference in Albuquerque at the end of this month - I hope to see lots of you there! There are great youth-focused programs available throughout. I'm also heading to YALSA in November - if you are going as well, please let me know.
Enjoy your Fall and Halloween themed events!

We recently visited Socorro Public Library and loved their Halloween themed Blind Date with a Book program. Patrons select books without being able to see the cover or title. It's a great way to get folks to try out new types of books! | |
