The Rochester Youth Sports Foundation, in collaboration with City of Rochester R-Centers and the Rochester City School District, will host a City Youth Sports Expo.
City youth and their parents will have the opportunity to speak with representatives from City youth sports and active play organizations including, RCSD sports programs and Roc City Skate Park, which will feature demonstrations and lessons for children.
Agencies that provide services to youth and families will have tables set up in order to give information to all guests. There will be activities and sports for children to participate and enjoy, such as:
- Bounce house
- Obstacle course
- Rock wall
- Sports demonstrations
This event will provide families and youth an opportunity to become engaged in healthy and safe activities. Students who participate in healthy after-school sports and activities have better attendance, lower suspension rates, and better academic outcomes.
