Hi Friends!

Happy Thursday and almost weekend! Can you believe this year is coming to a close? We have officially reached that time of year where everything seems a bit chaotic. School is ending, sports are winding down for some, summer trips and camps are being planned--and a general sense of stress can be felt.

This week, I spent time with some college students and we closed out our time together, we read the night time prayer from The New Zealand Book of Common Prayer. Their version of Compline (night time prayer) is one of my favorites, in particular one part. It states, "what has been done has been done; what has not been done has not been done; let it be." This has served as a reminder for myself so many times to just let go of things- stress, worries about the next day, my to-do list- and to just let it be. I hope this can help you, as well, as you enter into a busier time for you and your family.

I am here if you need me, please don't hesitate to reach out! See you on Sunday!

Peace,

Hope

We invite you to a worship service that calls us to live well with “this fragile Earth, our island home.” We will celebrate the beauty of God’s creation, name the perils it faces, and commit to the flourishing of the Earth Community. This service gathers at the lakeside dock in Piedmont park, features acoustic music, a simple Eucharist, and a dramatic retelling of the Genesis creation story. The service takes place rain or shine, as we will gather in the Lake Clara Meer Visitor Center (near the 12th street and Piedmont Ave Gate) in the event of rain.

Your family is invited to join us as we celebrate your 7th grader and this milestone in the church. On May 20th, we will enjoy a seated dinner together where we will honor your child and parents will have the opportunity to toast to your child. We are asking each family to provide a ~100 word biography about your child as well as a photo. You can submit both of these using the link below.

If you haven’t been able to make it to many, or any, of our formation classes–that is okay! We still want your 7th grader to participate and your family to be there!
