Hi Friends!

I recently saw a post on Facebook that read, "7 Signs You Need More Sabbath In Your Life." Naturally, as someone who feels perpetually busy but also finds time to scroll the internet, I clicked the link.

It listed the 7 Signs as:

1: You don't have time for it

2: You want to strengthen your relationships

3: You need more joy in your week (and life!)

4: You want to participate in God's sevenfold Spirit of Jubilee

5: You feel fragmented, frenzied, or stressed

6: You can't recall the last time you and your loved ones really "rested"

7: It's in the Ten Commandments!

Do any (or all) of those resonate with you the way they did for me? Our lives can become so hectic and busy--between school, work, sports, extra-curricular activities, church, etc. It is so easy to get caught up in what's next on the calendar that we forget to just "be" with our family. This season of Lent, I encourage your family to have a Sabbath Day. Unplug from technology, get outside, make a meal together, whatever it may be--but find time to just "be." I think you might be surprised by how much you all needed a day together filled with love, appreciation, and gratitude!

I look forward to seeing everyone on Sunday!

Peace,

Hope

High School Mission Trip 2023

June 4-9

We are so excited to introduce our first High School Mission Trip this summer! We will be heading to Asheville, NC where we will work alongside Asheville Youth Mission Co. and dive into our theme "let me be as Christ to you" based on The Servant Song. This week will be full of service, building relationship, and fun!

The trip is described by Youth Mission Co. as:

"Located in the mountains of North Carolina, Asheville Youth Mission gives young people an opportunity to explore the hidden needs and struggles of those who are living on the margins within and around a beautiful tourist town. Groups will work with a variety of agencies working with those who are homeless, in poverty, or food insecure, both in urban and rural settings."

This trip is open to all current 9th-12th graders

Cost is $420 and includes travel, lodging, meals, and all activities
