Message From Steph Anderson,
Executive Director

Happy New Year, new and old friends! I can’t believe it is already 2024 and February at that! I thought we might have a quieter winter/holiday season but that never seems to be the case as this was our planning time and this staff did not disappoint! Although it is still winter here with the snow and cold, three groups have already visited and it is slowly waking up to a beautiful new year.
Since we are a learning center, the team here has been planning many new, relevant and exciting programs as The Mountain continues to make a difference in this world. I encourage everyone to look at the Events and Farm Programs pages on our website to find quality programs for everyone that you will not want to miss.
| |
|
The ones that excite me the most (if I HAD to pick!) are the Farm/Healthy Living programs, Climate Justice Summit and of course our Youth Programs. We are building on past successes plus adding new and thought provoking events. So many new groups have found a home here so our calendar is as packed as ever with opportunities for everyone to come enjoy and learn at The Mountain.
Aside from programming, there are other important things going on as well! Capital Campaign, Racial Healing Initiative, new staff, property/land improvements, new marketing strategies plus many new community connections are being made. So stay tuned!
Thank you so much for your continued support and love for The Mountain and I look forward to seeing all of you in 2024.

Message from the Board
Camille Cassingham

I first came to The Mountain at age 12 for a YouthCON and fell in love with the place. After attending MountainCamp and CONs throughout middle and high school, I worked at MountainCamp for several summers in various capacities, from Counselor-In-Training to Camp Coordinator. I feel that my experiences with The Mountain’s youth programs informed a lot of who I am today, and having grown up around this intergenerational community that values people of all ages is one of the things I cherish most.
I have served on the Board of Trustees for nearly a year now, and I feel so privileged to have this opportunity to participate in the incredible work being done by and for our Mountain community. I very much look forward to what the future holds for our beloved Mountain.
