The Yucca Valley Animal Shelter is excited to announce its participation in the national Clear the Shelters campaign this August. Throughout the entire month, the shelter will offer significantly reduced adoption fees to encourage the community to open their hearts and homes to a new furry friend.
Dog adoption fees are $25 and cat adoption fees are $20. Each adoption includes spay or neuter surgery, microchip, vaccines, a veterinary visit and a leash or carrier to help pets settle into their new homes.
“This is a great opportunity for families and individuals to adopt a pet and help reduce overcrowding at the shelter,” said Shane Stueckle, Deputy Town Manager. “There are many loyal animals like Joy, pictured in the event ad, who have been waiting patiently for a new home.”
The shelter, located at 4755 Malin Way, is open Tuesday through Saturday from noon to 5 p.m. Community members are encouraged to visit, meet adoptable pets and help make space for animals still in need.
Clear the Shelters is a nationwide pet adoption and donation campaign sponsored by NBCUniversal Local. The campaign helps reduce shelter overcrowding and gives animals a better chance of finding a permanent home.
