Yucca District Weekly News

June 22, 2023

Dear Yucca residents,

On Tuesday morning, I had the pleasure of attending the groundbreaking ceremony for the new Thirsty Lion location in Glendale. This will be the fifth Thirsty Lion in the state of Arizona. The restaurant will be located at the Southwest corner of Sunset Blvd and Entertainment Blvd and is scheduled to open in December of this year.

Just a reminder that this coming Tuesday's City Council meeting will be the last one until August 8, 2023 as the Council goes on leave each July. When we do return in August, City Council is scheduled to begin holding all our meetings at the Glendale Civic Center while the City Hall campus undergoes renovations. Meeting dates and times will remain the same and meetings will continue to be live streamed on Glendale Channel 11, the City's Facebook page, and on YouTube.

Watch for a special announcement in next week's newsletter! I have something special planned for the month of July. Hint: if you still haven't gotten your hands on one, you're going to have plenty of opportunities in July!

Have a great weekend!

Joyce
