Men's Day

Men's Day 2023 is just around the corner, and we are excited to celebrate the men of our church and community. Join us this Sunday, March 19th at 10:30 a.m. This special day is dedicated to celebrating and honoring the men of our church and community.

As part of the festivities, the Men's Day Choir will be performing during the service, showcasing their incredible talents and musical abilities.

In addition, we are thrilled to welcome our guest speaker, Min. Jyhir Jordan from Morehouse College. Min. Jordan is an accomplished speaker, and his achievements have been prolific in social services and in his ministry. He will be delivering a powerful message that is sure to inspire and motivate us all.

The theme for Men's Day 2023 is "Kingdom Men Called to Serve". This is a reminder that we are all called to serve one another and our community. As men, we have a responsibility to be leaders and to serve those around us.

We hope that you will join us for this special day as we celebrate and honor the men of Zion Baptist Church. Let us come together to worship, fellowship, and be inspired. We look forward to seeing you there!

March Small Group Study Series

March's Small Group Study Series is entitled “Easter,” featuring Dr. J.D. Greear, who Pastors The Summit Church in Durham, North Carolina. He’ll take us on a Holy Walk through the Gospel of Matthew as we study Jesus’ life, His death, and resurrection. We’ll get a glimpse for ourselves of what we truly deserved in these stories, asking the questions: Did we Betray Him? Was He forsaken for me? Accused for me? Punished for me? Jesus did not just die for us, but instead, He died in our place and now lives in us and through us to a life of Purpose and Victory!

Zion, we invite you to join a Small Group as we study this series together.

Rev. Sylvia Bennett will be our teacher for the month of March.

Help Lonnie Get to Jamaica!

Hello Zion Friends and Family, let me tell you about a great opportunity to help our efforts with the Zion Mission Ministry.

Zion, together with Dunwoody Baptist Church, is planning Jamaica Mission 2023. I will be leading a team, which has 12 Zion members, to Spur Tree, Jamaica, where we will have 60 kids from orphanages and foster homes. Thirty girls and 30 boys will spend the week at Moorlands Camp. Where our foremost reason for going is to make disciples and provide social services to teenagers aging out of the foster/orphanage care system, at the same time ensuring them God is always on their side, despite their circumstances. Let me tell you how you can help the efforts; you can help by donating resources, like art and crafts supplies. Financial support is essential, and prayer for the team and the kids is a must, but the best help is if you can join us on Jamaica Mission 2023.

If you have any questions or concerns about how to help the effort, please contact me at [email protected]. Please make a check/money order payable to Dunwoody Baptist Church with "Jamaica" in the memo line or donate online here. All donations are tax-deductible. Thank you for your support and prayers.

Gerald Massey – “I thirst.”, Rev. Robert Brown – “It is finished” and Rev. Ramona Kerr – “Father into thine hands I commend my Spirit.”
