We recently received a very generous donation from a long-time supporter, Sean Stoddard, owner of A thru Z Consulting & Distributing, Inc.! Sean has expressed to ZDR3 that he sees the value in us continuing to grow the Network to ensure as many facilities as possible are able to receive critical support. Thank you, Sean, for going above and beyond for ZDR3!
This gift also arrived at a fortuitous time. Since September 2024, ZDR3 has received Congressionally funded appropriations distributed through a Cooperative Agreement (CA) with the USDA. Due to the recent government shutdown, there have been delays in reimbursements.
Support from our sponsors and other donors allow us to bridge funding gaps without any disruption in service. This critical support also allows ZDR3 to fulfill mission requests outside the scope of the CA, and to build a reserve to ensure long-term provision of these critical services to the zoological community.
Here’s how one ZDR3 Network member explained why they became a sponsor: “We know it takes money to operate a program such as ZDR3. If I can’t be there to help, I can donate some money, which is also very important.”
In addition to including our sponsors on our website, we periodically feature and tag them in social media, which—we have discovered through engagement by their employees and followers—instills pride and community goodwill.
