Thank you all for a great start to a new school year!

It brings so much joy to our hearts to have all your children back on campus and to watch them learn and grow already!

This week in chapel, we talked about focus. The beginning of the school year is a time to re-focus on academics, schedules, routines, hard work, and listening to instructions.

As our theme verses (Isaiah 43:18-19) tell us to forget the former things and to watch for the new things that God is doing. He is bringing life and growth that we have not yet seen. That thought is so exciting to me as we watch our students and staff grow and change through the challenges and the victories of each day.

May God focus all of our eyes on what He is doing as we begin this new school year together.

  • Thursday, September 2nd, 5-7pm - Back to School Bonanza
  • Friday, September 3rd - NO SCHOOL (Teacher PD Day)
  • Sunday, September 5th - Zion Lutheran Church services 8am and 10:30am (change from 10am)
  • Monday, September 6th - NO SCHOOL (Labor Day)
  • Sunday, September 12th - "Connected in Christ" sermon series & small groups begin at Zion Lutheran Church
Back to School Bonanza
Back to School Bonanza, Thursday September 2nd from 5 - 7 pm. Come have your students walk you through their day, see different clubs available, and volunteer opportunities. This is a great time to meet other Zion families.

We will have gently used dress code and spiritwear items available for purchase (all items $1). Gently used PE uniforms will also be available.

Due to supply issues, we have verified that there is product available for everything shown here. Please order early so that we can secure your product asap.

Notes from the Office
  1. We still have medical forms outstanding. Please turn them in ASAP or call the office with the date of your appointment.
  2. Please send a water bottle with your children everyday. Our water fountains are closed for health reasons. We only have bottle fillers available right now. Thank you.
  3. There will be no school on Friday September 3rd for a teacher professional Development day.
  4. There will be no school on Monday September 6th in observance of Labor Day.
  5. Picture Day is Tuesday September 14th.
Dine to Donate
Come support Zion Lutheran Church And School @ the Chipotle at 6415 N Illinois St in Fairview Heights on Tuesday, August 31st from 4:00pm to 8:00pm. 33% of the proceeds will be donated to Zion Lutheran Church And School.
Volunteer Opportunity
We Are looking for a Volunteers on Tuesday Afternoons and Wednesday morning (starting September 1) in the Library. If anyone is interested email Mrs. Papka @ mpapka@zionschoolbelleville,org
