So far, in Phase 1 of our strategic planning process, Where are we now?, we successfully closed out our 2019-2024 Strategic Plan and gathered valuable insights from the AAMC StandPoint™ Employee Engagement Survey. You can view our achievements in the 2019-2024 Strategic Plan Outcomes Report here.

The next step in Phase 1 is to conduct a SWOT analysis, which will help us understand our strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for improvement.

ZSOM Standpoint Working Groups

Using the feedback from the StandPoint™ survey, we've established three working groups to focus on key opportunities for enhancing engagement, transparency, and continuous improvement at ZSOM. The Co-chairs and members of each group are listed below:

Decision Making & Shared Governance


Examine decision-making and communication processes, and recommend improvements to transparency, inclusion, and collaboration, focusing on integrating faculty and staff voices.

The working groups are currently in the first month of implementation, focusing on defining their scope, objectives, and reviewing survey data. They will research best practices and develop specific, measurable recommendations for institutional improvement.
