We had another busy month in November....as we said goodbye to our beautiful fall and hello to winter, that decided to visit us a bit early with some ice, snow and bitter cold days!! The weather never really seems to get the best of us though and we still managed to stay incredibly active and busy including some wonderful field trips. We went to Frates Family Farm for a hike and cut greens for our window boxes and holiday decorations. We saw the “Infinitus String Trio” at the Lebanon Opera House which was wonderful. We went bowling a couple of times to Maple Lanes in Claremont.…a ZP favorite! We went to Billings’s farm for a thanksgiving program and the Montshire Museum to learn about Animal Tracks & Signs. Participants learned about the behavior of local animals through the signs they leave behind.
We continued our awesome pottery program at Artistree with Fiona, we painted beautiful pictures with Lynn VanNatta, for our greeting cards. We had art every Friday with Caitlin and made wonderful turkey hats for the trot and we had art class with Lolly making colorful paper plate turkeys. We made life size drawings of ourselves with Kitty and made “Paracord” bracelets with our good friend John. We had an awesome cultural day with Dapika learning about her home in Nepal and cooking some native cuisine.
Every Wednesday we made music with Kerry and Sandy, we had music and movement with Mark and Kathleen and had some great drumming sessions with Ted. We stayed fit with Bari, did yoga twice a week with one of our 4 yogini’s Tita, Lalita, Jamie and Amanda and had some great yoga dancing with Liz Barker. We heard amazing stories from our talented Jools who brought along Emerson to serenade us with the violin. We also managed to get in some cooking with Sarah and Doug and Karaoke with Kitty!
Another wonderful busy month at Zack’s Place!!
Happy Thanksgiving to all!!
